September 2nd - Welcome back

It has been lovely to welcome back all of our fantastic children to school this week. They are settling into their new classes brilliantly.
29th September - Staircase House

Our Year 2 children visited Staircase House in Stockport today to support their topic work on The Great Fire of London.
10th October - Harvest festival
Thank you for all of your kind donations for our Harvest festival today. Warren from Atherton Food bank visited school to lead our assembly and was very grateful for your support.
24th October - Halloween Disco!
It was lovely to see so many children dressed up at our Halloween Disco last night. You all looked amazing!
7th November - Imperial War Museum trip

Our Year 6 pupils visited the Imperial war Museum in Manchester today to complement their topic work on 'A Child's War'.
27th November - Reading Meeting

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who attended our Year 1 reading meeting. We hope that you found the meeting useful and informative.
12th December - Santa Dash

Well done to all of the children who competed in our annual Santa Dash today The winning houses were:
19th November - Greek Day

Our Year 5 children enjoyed a Greek day today as part of their topic work.
Week beginning 15th December - Christmas Party time!

The children throughout school are looking forward to celebrating a Christmas with their parties this week.
September 11th - EYFS settling in
We have now got all of our Nursery and Reception children in school. It has been lovely to see them get familiar with and settled in their new class environments
September - Meet the teacher

Thank you to all of those parents and carers who attended our meet the teacher events this half term. We hope you found the sessions useful and informative.
6th & 7th October - Parents/Carers evenings

It was lovely to see so many parents and carers this week. Thank you for all of your book fair purchases too!
23rd October - Pumpkin Competition
A massive well done to all of our pumpkin competition entries. Your designs were amazing and it was extremely difficult to judge. The hall looked spookily fantastic all day!
24th October - Cross Country
Massive congratulations to our cross country team who won the ATSA Cross Country Competition earlier today. Well done to all the children who took part.
12th November - Just Join In
Some of our lovely children took part in the Just Join In session today and had a lovely time taking part in activities that they might not have tried before.
12th December - Christmas Jumper Day
It has been lovely to see all of our children wearing their Christmas jumpers today as they donated gifts for our traditional Christmas Coloured Hamper day!
We made 16 hampers in total from all of your kind donations. Well done to the winners - your ticket numbers are on our weekly newsletter.
Thank you very much for supporting your school in this fantastic fundraising event.
Week beginning 8th December - Nativities galore!

A huge well done to all of the children in our EYFS and KS1 departments this week. They all worked hard to put on the best performances of their Christmas Nativities throughout the week. The shows were amazing!

October 9th - Yoga taster session
Some of our Year 6 children enjoyed the ATSA Yoga Taster session today at Toni Marie Yoga Studio in Atherton.
26th September - Macmillan Coffee morning
21st October - Dance Festival A massive well done to our Year 6 dancers who took part in the Primary Dance Leaders Festival at Fred Longworth High School today!
It was wonderful to watch our talented team THRILL the audience with their performance - you really can’t BEAT IT!
6th November - Year 3 visit to Chester
The children in Year 3 enjoyed their trip to Chester today to learn more about their topic on the Romans. They visited Grosvenor Museum and walked around the historical sights of Chester.
14th November - Children In Need

Thank you for all of your kind donations towards Children In Need today for our non uniform day.
10th November - Anti-Bullying Week

Children throughout school have spent time this week understanding the importance of "the power for good" as part of anti-bullying week. This finished with a fantastic stage performance and workshop from Altru Drama company.
7th November - KS1 Reward Time!
Some of our wonderful KS1 children enjoyed the first of our special Afternoon Tea's this afternoon as a reward for their fantastic behaviour!
They absolutely loved it — what a lovely way to celebrate their kindness, hard work and great choices!
This special treat will now be happening every Friday, so keep up the amazing behaviour, everyone!
28th November - Superhero day!

Our lovely Year 1 children dressed up as their favourite superhero today as part of their exciting topic. You all looked amazing!
12th November - Wayland the Viking

Year 4 had a fascinating and interactive workshop led by Wayland the Viking today as part of their ongoing topic work. They explored battle techniques and weapons, discovered how to navigate a longboat in all weathers and learned about Viking customs, beliefs, and traditions.
8th October - Ten Pin Bowling

A group of our children enjoyed a ten pin bowling event this afternoon.
