30th April - Water Polo

Well done to our KS2 water polo team who took part in a competition today. 

8th May - VE Day

Our children have enjoyed celebrating VE day today by wearing red, white and blue and taking part in lots of activities to commemorate the day. They even made some delicious scones!

15th May - Rounders 

Our year 3 and 4 children did amazingly well at the ATSA rounders tournament today coming in second place overall. Well done team!

5th June - Chess champions!

A massive congratulations to our Chess duo who won the first ATSA chess competition this afternoon. 

22nd May - 'Let's Play!'

Last night, these wonderful children took part in ATSA’s ‘Let’s Play’ concert for talented musicians, performing to a crowd full of proud family members and teachers! Keep up the fantastic effort and dedication, kids - you were amazing!

23rd June - Year 5 John Muir

Our year 5 children celebrated the end of their John Muir studies this week with a fabulous assembly where they showcased everything they have been covering in their topic work. 

1st May - Boomers and Swingers

Our Year Six golfers enjoyed the ATSA Competition at Astley Boomers and Swingers driving range today. Well done boys!

8th May - Footgolf

Our Year 4 children were excited to take part in the ATSA footgolf competition with other schools in our local area today.

Week beginning 12th May - Year 6 SATs

Our Year 6 children have worked their socks off this week to conquer their SATs. We are proud of each and everyone of them. Well done!

6th June - ATSA football competition

Congratulations to our fantastic football team who won the ATSA Mixed Football Cup Competition today.  I think you can tell from their faces that they were very pleased!!

Week beginning 23rd June - INSPIRE

It has been wonderful to welcome some of our new Nursery and Reception children to our school this week for their taster sessions before they join us in September. We hope that you all had a fabulous time. 

26th June - Wider Opportunities concert

Our very talented Year 4 pupils showed off their musical talents today in a fabulous concert for their parents and carers. Well done everybody!

6th & 7th May - Anderton Centre

Our Year four children have enjoyed a fantastic two days residential visit to the Anderton Centre in Rivington. They took part in lots of outdoor activities; including archery, rafting and tree climbing. Their behaviour and attitude was a credit to them. 

9th May - Mobile Farm visit

Our Reception children have enjoyed a visit from the mobile farm today to help them understand more about farm animals as part of their topic.

Week beginning 19th May - Sports Days

Children throughout school have enjoyed competing in their sports days this week. WE had wonderful weather too! Well done to everyone involved.  

Week beginning 2nd June - Quack, quack!

Our little ducklings have hatched in Reception and the children are enjoying looking after them and seeing them grow.

11th-13th June - Bibby's Farm

Our wonderful year two children have enjoyed a fantastic few days (and their first school residential) at Bibby''s Farm in Chorley. They took part in lots of activities including rafting, grass sledging, go-karting and rock climbing, to name a few. It was a pleasure to take them away and watch them thrive in this new environment. 

2nd July - TRIKIDZ

A massive well done to our TRIKIDS team, who got through to the final and then went on to win the ATSA competition today. You were absolutely amazing!
